CES 2007 - Mobile Crossing WPX

It was my last day at CES when I first saw the Mobile Crossing booth. The three of us were leaving the Microsoft booth as we saw a tub of water, and some electronics near by. Curious, Kim asked what they were doing. We were told that their product was water proof, and they were proving it by dumping it in a fish tank. Unfortunately, they weren't demonstrating while we were there, but we were still intrigued. When we asked, Calvin Chu of Mobile Crossing showed us his product, which was a WPX handheld. It is a GPS navigation system, and it was quite small.

The man told us that it was meant to go on wind sheilds. Along with that, he showed us a feature where half of the edge would flash red in the direction you're supposed to turn. After this, I asked him if I could hold it. He said yes, and let me play with it for a while. First, he showed me how to get it to give you directions. It is quite simple, and allows you to select a restaurant or an address. Then, I asked him if it could take me to my house. We began entering the address one letter at a time and it eliminated the letters that couldn't be an option. Once the address was typed in, it showed us the neighborhood and started giving us directions.
